住戸から店舗へのコンバージョン
ビルのワンフロアーのコンバージョンです。飲食店舗のオーナー住戸だったところを、店舗拡大に伴い、VIP専用のパーティールームとしてリノベーションしています。全体構成として、壁を楕円状につくり、内部を客席として、外側をトイレとバックヤードとしました。楕円の壁は、木壁面と光面を交差しながら楕円状に並べる形で構成しています。空間の中心にテーブルが配置されていますが、その周りを人が廻る方向によって、光壁が主に見える場合と木壁面が見える場合に変わります。同じスペースでも、動く方向で空間の経験変わるデザインとすることによって、限られたスペースながら非日常感を演出しています。

Conversion from residential to store
This is the conversion of one floor of a building. This was the owner’s residence of a restaurant, but as the store expanded, it was renovated into a party room exclusively for VIPs. The overall structure is an oval wall, with the interior used as dining and the exterior used as a restroom and backyard. The oval wall is made up of wooden and light surfaces arranged in an oval shape, intersecting each other. A table is placed in the center of the space, but depending on the direction people move around it, the light wall or the wooden wall is mainly visible. Even in the same space, the design changes the experience of the space depending on the direction of movement, creating a sense of the extraordinary despite the limited space.
