風が通り視線が通る、家全体を一日中使える小さな住まい
日本の集合住宅はｎＬＤＫ型画一化の弊害として、風通しと部屋どうしの繋がりを失ってきたと思います。玄関入って中廊下の両脇に個室、奥にＬＤＫとベランダという平面では、角部屋でない限り風の出入口両方は確保出来ず、また各個室は孤立してしまっています。
ご依頼のあった築１６年のマンションは、まさにこのプランで、５８平米に個室２つと和室を併設したＤＫに夫婦と子供２人が暮らしていました。
今回、浴室と洗面所以外をスケルトンリフォームすることによって、これまで無かったリビングを確保し、さらに風の通り道をつくりながら２つの寝室を設けています。
さらに収納スペースを増やすために、クローゼット以外に１つの寝室の床下全面を収納スペースとしています。そこは和室として日中はもう１つの居間となり、また床の上がりを４２センチとして和室の板縁をイスとした子供の勉強スペースにもなっています。ここは、子供が寝静まった夜には夫婦の寝室に併設された書斎にも兼用できます。
その他キッチン収納に色をつけて空間のポイントにしたり、リビングの壁の一つの面を木として全体が繋がりながらもそれぞれの場所に意匠的特徴をもたせました。

A small home with a breeze and a clear line of sight
As a drawback of the standardization of the nLDK style, I think that Japanese apartment complexes have lost ventilation and connections between rooms. In a plan with private rooms on both sides of the central corridor after entering the entrance and a LDK and balcony at the back, unless it is a corner room, it is not possible to secure both entrances and exits for the wind, and each private room is isolated.
The 16-year-old apartment that was requested had exactly this plan, with a couple and two children living in a 58 square meter DK with two private rooms and a Japanese-style room.
This time, by doing a skeleton renovation of everything except the bathroom and washroom, a living room that did not exist before was secured, and two bedrooms were added while creating a path for the wind to pass through.
To further increase storage space, in addition to the closet, the entire floor space under one of the bedrooms is used as storage space. It becomes another living room during the day as a Japanese-style room, and also serves as a study space for children with the floor raised 42 cm and the wooden edge of the Japanese-style room as a chair. This space can also be used as a study attached to the couple’s bedroom at night when the children are asleep.
Other ideas include adding color to the kitchen storage to create a focal point in the space, and making one side of the living room wall out of wood, connecting the whole space while giving each area its own design features.
