築４０年木造住宅の高性能リノベーション
築４０年の木造住宅を、リノベーションによって、全館空調と開放的な空間の実現がテーマでした。全館空調の実現には高気密高断熱が必要で、スケルトンまで解体して開口部をすべて断熱サッシに変更し、断熱材を隙間無く吹付けています。全館空調機は、温度調整だけでなく調湿換気機能も併せ持った機器とし、空気環境を最高レベルにまで向上しました。また耐震補強や屋根、外壁の仕上げもやり直しています。
そして、開放的な空間の実現のために、鉄骨補強をしながら既存の内壁を撤去して広い一室のＬＤＫとしました。また、傾斜地を生かした眺望を楽しむため、ＬＤＫに面するテラスを大きく広げ、アウトドアリビングスペースにしています。テラスへの扉は木製の引込み窓として、内外を一体化しています。また、吹抜けを設けて２階を減築し、上下階のつながりも新たに確保しました。
このような大々的なリノベーションを施して、性能的にも空間的にも、クライアントの望む新しい住まいに生まれ変わりました。

Renovating a 40-year-old wooden house to create a comfortable environment
The theme of this renovation was to realize a central air-conditioning system and an open space through the renovation of a 40-year-old wooden house. To realize central air-conditioning, high airtightness and high insulation are necessary, so the interior except for the framework was demolished, all openings were replaced with insulated sashes, and insulation material was sprayed in without any gaps. The central air-conditioning unit is a device that not only adjusts temperature but also has humidity control and ventilation functions, improving the air environment to the highest level. In addition, earthquake reinforcement and the finishing of the roof and exterior walls were redone.
And to realize an open space, the existing interior walls were removed while reinforcing the steel frame to create a large one-room living, dining, and kitchen. In addition, to enjoy the view that makes the most of the sloping land, the terrace facing the living, dining, and kitchen was greatly expanded to create an outdoor living space. The door to the terrace is a wooden sliding window, integrating the inside and outside. In addition, a void was created to reduce the second floor, and a new connection was created between the upper and lower floors.
Through this extensive renovation, the house has been transformed into a new home that meets the client’s desires in terms of both functionality and space.
