リビングに木の箱が浮遊する
都心の25坪の敷地に建つ住宅です。段状になった敷地そのままに、建坪率いっぱいの段上の床を設け、北側斜線が許容する範囲のコンクリートの壁を立てて、可能な限り最大のLDKを確保しています。その他必要諸室は、閉じた二つの木の箱の中に確保し、寝室、浴室、客間として機能を満たしながらも、コンクリートで覆われた空間に浮遊する木のオブジェのように存在させています。
二つの木の箱は屋根を突き抜けて立ち上がり、間にテラスを設けました。寝室と浴室とこのテラスは、内と外が一体となった空間となって、下階のリビング空間とは違う経験ができる場所としています。吹抜けの部分には、鉄骨の階段と廊下が配されて、トップライトからの陽光と、壁の開口からの風が通り抜けるようになっています。
必要な諸室の箱とそれ以外に明快に分け、それぞれに素材を与え、さらに全体を見渡せるようにすることによって、機能的かつ視覚的にも楽しいダイナミックな空間となっています。

A wooden box floating in the living room
This house is built on an 82m2 site in the city center. The stepped site is left as it is, and the floor is set on the steps to the maximum floor area ratio, and concrete walls are erected within the legal north slope to ensure the largest possible living, dining, and kitchen area. Other necessary rooms are secured in two closed wooden boxes, and while fulfilling their functions as a bedroom, bathroom, and guest room, they exist like floating wooden objects in the concrete-covered space.
The two wooden boxes rise up through the roof and a terrace is provided between them. The bedroom, bathroom, and this terrace are a space where the inside and outside are integrated, making it a place where you can have a different experience from the living space on the lower floor. A steel staircase and corridor are arranged in the atrium area, allowing sunlight from the skylight and wind from the opening in the wall to pass through.
By clearly separating the necessary room boxes from others, giving each one a material, and allowing you to see the whole picture, it is a dynamic space that is both functional and visually pleasing.
